Fallout: New Vegas is an upcoming role-playing video game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks. While New Vegas is not a direct sequel, it will use the same engine and be in the same style as Fallout 3, and is being developed by some of the people who worked on previous Fallout games at Black Isle Studios. It will be set in and around post-apocalyptic Las Vegas. It has a projected release date of Fall 2010 and will be available on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Official Trailer.

The trailer looks awesome, but I don't think this game will be as good as Fallout 3.

Interested to see how it will be gameplay wise, like the old Fallouts 1 and 2 or like Fallout 3 with the open world gameplay.  Either way I'm pretty excited.

Many people have been comparing this to what Vice City and San Andreas were to GTA III. Same gameplay engine with added content and a new story, maybe with some slightly updated graphics.

The game will be very similar to Fallout 3, with some new features and weapons. Some of the new features include weapon modding and companion wheel (to easily control companions). Looking forward to the release somewhere in October.

I don't know with Fallout games. I really like RPG's but I think I'm more into the Japanese ones like Final Fantasy. I tried Fallout 3 twice and both times there was a moment I just stopped and didn't lookl back to it anymore. I think I like it when the story had a more heavy/central part in the game. Anyway, will check out previews the coming weeks.

Fallout: New Vegas Boxshot

I have a bit of info if your interested

The Old:
Development of Fallout New Vegas was announced by Bethesda on April 20, 2009 to be developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda.
The Lead Designer on the project will be Josh Sawyer who was the lead technical designer on Project Van Buren, an early version of Fallout 3.

The Newish:
In the game the Brotherhood of Steel are stranded in the Mojave waste's and they are fighting just to survive.
There will be a group in the City called the Chairmen who will be some what like a pollice force.
to smuggle weapons into casinos you will have to find a guy called Mr. Holdout.
The Tribals from F1 and F2 are making a comeback.

The Very New:
If you are in the area of QakeCon you are in luck because it is the first opportunity to go hands-on with New Vegas.

Ingame info:
NCR Ranges are the true badasses of Nevada. They ware modified LAPD SWAT Riot Gear and pack heavy fire power.
The game will now allow three followers for your group and each will have their own loyalty mission like in Mass Effect 2.
Raul the Ghoul is more than a simple mechanic but alas nothing esle has been revealed about what the dev meant by this statement.
The Vegas strip is based on 1950's Nevada and has more lights in the one street than the whole of Fallout 3.
You might have all ready heard there will be a super hard mode called Hard Core mode: ammo has weight, stim packs heal over time and if you remember the Older fallout Games they had water flasks, these will make a return because Hydration will be a factor in the desert.

I thought I should explain the Collectors Edition. So here it is:

[CollectorsCollectors EditionEdition Set]

Bethesda have sent along Australia/New Zealand specific details of a limited collector's edition for the HUGLY anticipated Fallout New Vegas. FNV-CE (for short) will be a premium version of the game for both the 360 and PS3 that will include the following goodies that the other will not:
"Lucky 7" poker chips. Each of the seven poker chips was designed to represent chips from the major casinos found on the New Vegas strip and throughout the Mojave Wasteland and a recreation of the game's highly coveted "Lucky 38" platinum chip
A fully customised Fallout: New Vegas deck of cards. Each card in the pack has been uniquely illustrated to depict characters and factions found within the game. Use the cards to play poker, blackjack or Caravan, an original card game that was created by Obsidian especially for Fallout: New Vegas!
I saw a small envelope the cards came in I suspect that there will be instructions to each game within.
A massive hardcover graphic novel "All Roads", that tells the story of some of the characters and the events that lead up to FNV. The book was written by Chris Avellone the game's creative director and published by Dark Horse Comics. Trust me this is a big book!
The Making of Fallout: New Vegas DVD. This documentary DVD will contain exclusive video content you wont find any where else (till some one puts it on you tube), including interviews with the devs and delve into the concept of the game before moving onto the creation proses and deeper into topics such as story, setting, legacy of the Fallout franchise and heaps more.
