The site is much faster for me now, especially the initial forum load.

The whole site should be faster, not just the initial forum. Let us know if you still find anything running slow.

The last two days I've experienced a strange "thing" Around 10:00am GMT and for about 20-30mins the whole site appeared to have been loading very slow. I guess there was some testing/checking going on behind?

Well I'm facing this randomly regardless of any specific timing. "PAGE NOT FOUND" errors occur on quite a lot of times

yeah i've been noticing lately that every now and then the site randomly returns to it's former speed O_o

Same here, but that's normally when I use the F5 refresh, but it also does this when I click on the "Forum" link from my profile, but it doesn't take more than 5 seconds or so and I can live with that.
with me it goes back to the former "1 to 3 minutes" loading to get to the main page on the forums.
oh, and i'm still being sent to page 1 on every thread i go >.>
Yes When you feel like it's slow, use the history page That saves a lot of time
1-3 minutes! Are you sure about it Bruno? How many tabs were open during that when, when you tried to visit the forum page? It has to be the internet connection. I'll still ask the developers to take a look.
@Ilias : Yes, there were some works going on during that time.
