Almost all gamers have probably experienced this at least once in their gaming careers I'm sure. What are some of the games you have found yourself most frustrated with? In the end were the controls worth the hassle because of the rest of the game or did it just entirely ruin the experience for you? What about the controls didn't you like? Feel free to add in anything else here that I missed about the poor controls in some of the games you have played as well.

Off hand I can think of 2 games that I didn't like the controls for, and those 2 games are Resident Evil 5 and The Saboteur. From what I've saw around there have been a lot of other gamers that have felt this way as well about those games. Overall though I still enjoyed both games, although the controls, for me at least, took a lot of enjoyment away from the games and changed what would have been an awesome gaming experience into a game that I liked playing but definitely won't be playing again in the future since just suffering through the game once to get to the good parts of the game were enough for me. I've always felt that controls and how user friendly they are make the game for me in a lot of ways and it's always a huge disappointment when I get excited for a game, then play it just to think WTF!?!? when it comes to the controls in it.

I also have some problems when adapting in a diferent control scheme. I am used to shoot with R1 and with Resident Evil 4 I had a hard time on guessing the controls. There's also the grenades when playing a FPS game. It is a diferent button all the time...

RE5 has the worst control. There is a game called 'Damnation' which also has very bad control.

It's that you had to press to many keys to  do simple stuff. Suppose for climbing a wall, you had to press the arrow key+place+shift and then again space bla bla bla.

Reminds me of some of the old school fighting games where you had to do 10 buttom combinations to do a fatality or special move. Mainly talking about Tekken for the PSone and Mortal Kombat for the Sega.

darksiders has somewhat complex controls, but it's nothing you can't get used too, and since they still work great, there isn't really a reason to complain.

But those weren't annoying. For fatalities or special moves all it needed is series of keys. But when in games you constantly press multiple buttons for normal moves like jump or to aim and shoot, it's becomes really annoying.

Yeah, maybe they think it's a good thing and adds to the difficulty but it doesn't, it's just a pain in the ass and frustrating IMO.
