Well, it sure has been interesting this year. Skyrim is GOTY; I can't see how anyone would have any objection to it. Though I'd be interested in seeing some solid arguments.

I highly doubt there will be any. From last month and half all people have been talking about is the arrows in their knees.

Arkham City still being my personal GOTY since I haven’t played Skyrim; yet. Judging by all the positive buzzes everywhere I looked both online/offline, I don't doubt Skyrim was made the winner this year. Sorry to disappoint you Daav but it's damn hard to place an argument against Skyrim.

Yeah, Skyrim deserved its title. The game offers so many, and contrarily to what some people may say, it's not just quantity, but quality as well. The game does have its problems. But in a game that offers such a ridiculous amount of content, that's hardly surprising.

I assume you didn't mean SW: TOR anything close to the GOTY. BioWare is usually the best when it comes to making an RPG but The Old Republic had noticeable glitches even being one of the best games of this series. The FLG system had bad critics too. Overall the game is good with quality story and character design, but the game is still somewhat trollish and repetitive.
