Netflix website was viewable on the PS3 via its built-in browser, just like facebook and every other website known to man. The 360 will NEVER have a web-browser for the simple fact that the 360 runs a version of Windows and will be fucked over by viruses the moment it goes online. The PS3 uses a Linux kernal which is immune to viruses and is neigh impossible to hack (the only hack did nothing but activate the console debug mode, a developers tool).
Live had a price increase about a month before Reach came out, the $50 price became $60.
I mentioned the PC because I was pointing out the fact that it is free on PC but 360 people have to pay for it. All those free hats that PC users get in TF2 would be on the 360 if M$ would allow free DLC.
PS3 is getting Steam (twas announced at E3), which won't happen on the 360 unless M$ changes its current policies. As of right now, it is impossible to do. M$ has to have EVERYTHING their way which is the way that makes you pay.

yes you can view the netflix website on the PS3, but you cannot stream the videos on the PS3 without the disc based app. Also unless a browser was ever released you cant make false claims that it would get plagued by viriuses. But hey if we are allowed to bring the PC into this then that makes the PS3 browser pointless anyways because i can use a much superior one on my PC anyways.
Plus true the content may be free on PC and charged on 360, but it isnt available on PS3 at all.
and really? if Microsoft had to have everything there way then they wouldn't be adding in Hulu Plus support ( a service that normally charges its own seperate monthly fee) and ESPN as well would they? they would stick with the bare bones voice chat and online capabilities service and charge you for that and that alone.
also PS3 is not getting Steam, PS3 is getting Steamworks support, the service of steam is only available on PC/mac/linux(not sure about that last one) . Which if you are unaware of what steamworks is, it is an API intended to help with developing and publishing a game or mod
basically what this means in simple terms is that its an easier way for developers to add downloadable content to there games as they do not have to go through Microsoft or Sony first to get the games onto there marketplace. This is obviously an amazing thing for the PS3 if its going to be supported by more games then just Portal 2 and I know this has caused (outside of possibly the PC if I can run it) the PS3 to be my platform of choice for Portal 2. It really is stupid of microsoft to not seek this support on the 360 as well. but it is NOT steam in any way.
