critics and ITS CREATOR all say Ipod touch= handheld.
that means, yes it is trying to compete with them...

I think the Touch is considered a more casual handheld.

i dont even know why the touch is an handheld
the touch could be a handheld because of its size, it has games, and it does not connect to a TV for image output the way consoles do. it also does not have the same amount of strength as a console.
i guess so...
But it's not on the same level as DS and PSP as shin is trying to get you to believe.
It just has the ability to play games as a little side feature.
Im not trying to get you to belive that, Im trying to tell you that it is technically a handheld, no matter what level its on, please do not put words into my mouth.
