Because it is so much more in depth to be able to go from /10 rather than /5. Going by .1's out of 10 works better for so many other sites, why can't it work for us? We should poll users and see what they'd like the rating scale to be.

As others have seen with my reviews I've just done away with scores. It basically forces the people to read the review and not just look at the score. I like Giantbomb's 5 start system since it works pretty well for them. But I've also heard someone before on another forum talk about a 4 star system which essentially broke down to this.
1 star = stay away, 2 star = borrow from a friend, 3 star = rent, 4 star = buy
Not sure how I feel about that one but it seems good. Though personally I rarely look at scores anymore. Too many people complaining over a 9.4 and 9.5 they just seem pointless anymore >.>
