I'm not sure if I'd get much use out of the RSS Feed, but I guess sometime down the road when the important things are taken care of this could be looked into.

How about something like this:
1. If anyone write @username at any blog/news/announcement/review/preview/feature, the mentioned users will receive a PM.2. If anyone quotes any user’s post at the forum, the quoted user will receive a PM

We do have this symbol'' when someone quotes a reply.PM sounds unecessary.
My inbox would be blowing up if we got PMs for every quote. In a blog/article maybe, but quotes is too much.

We will have a 'Feed tab' in every user profile page. Where you'll be able to see all these notifications you're asking through messages.
There will be options to choose different types of notification you want to receive. Preference for Feed tab, Messages and email notification.

How about 'something' that allow us too check the latest activities from the tracked users/friends?.
This could be implemented by Personal message and/or with a tab in our profiles.
This is a good idea. But what if you are tracking 100 users! Won't it be a mess at the feed tab?
I don't see any inconvinience about having 100 users/friends, I have a solution: Showing the most recent ones and updating the activities for each user. I think 10 users will be enough.
I think we can make this possible by adding an extra option at the user profile. Suppose when you add anyone as friend, you can select the option to track his/her contributions.
Need to talk the developers for this. Cos, what will happen to those who are already in our friend list.
