i never felt that stealth was needed, i'd just use it to make the annoying guards stop chasing me for every little thing i did.

they reduced its need even more on the sequel... either that or i got so good guards can't really catch up with me and when they do, they die in 3 hits at most Tongue out

Naw, it wasn't you, the first Assassin's Creed game the guards were much more alert than in the second one, in the first if you were even walking with your head up they would get suspicious, and running was out of the question, they'd instantly be on you then, which is why for the first one I stuck to the rooftops so much, but the second one unless you tried walking right past them into a restricted area, attacked them directly or killed someone in their sight line they left you alone, also I think witnesses could report you to the guards there as well. But in the 2nd one there were more sentries on the roofs and they were alot more aggressive than the drones on the ground. (In my experience with the game anyways)

From my impression it's only going to be the multiplayer that is heavily based on stealth, giving extra points for evading enemies or stealth kills, and that sort of thing. For single player with all their adding to the combat (from the looks of the video) I am thinking that will be more the opposite since they advertised having larger groups of enemies to take on than in the other games the idea will probably be to take them on head on and enjoy the improved fighting capabilities that Ezio has honed for himself, although like in the first 2 games I'm sure all the missions can be done in a stealthier manner as well if you want to approach it that way since in the first 2 there wasn't a lot of missions where they made it so you had to take on a lot of enemies, it was more of a choice, leaving it open to the preference of the gamer, which I find is best for me since some times I like being sneaky and moving in the shadows and taking out the enemy and leaving the guards with a big "WTF!?!?" and other times I want to just dive into the middle of them, and demoralize them by taking their weapons from them and using them to kill them with... such awesomeness... I'm pumped for this, can't you tell! haha I freaking love these games. LaughingLaughing

LittleBigPlanet 2 is going to be amazing we know that.  Sorcery (that Harry Potter style move game sony showed) looks like it could be pretty cool so I'm excited for that as well.
