Some stores are offering to people who may have recently bought a PS3 to trade it in for a new Slim at no cost. I could do this at Best Buy (since they've been told to offer a free game to those who try to trade in order to secure more stock) but the three free games they're offering (inFamous, Killzone 2, MLB The Show) I have the two I'm interested in so 
I personally am a fan of the new design. I like that they're trying to have a new approach with everything (hopefully a sign that they're on the right track) all I've heard from the major gaming sites is praises for it so that's a very good sign for Sony. I'm honestly shocked at the price point though. I expected "fat" PS3's to go to 299 and the Slim to be 399. But it was a pleasant surprise you could say
