Now that Final Fantasy XV has finally release many gamers are looking forward too two other games from Square Enix, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Unfortunately, director Tetsuya Nomura went on record with Famitsu that the games are very far from releasing.
Speaking about Kingdom Hearts 3 Nomura said:
“We’re steadily progressing on production. While we are making them, I apologize that the wait will be be a bit longer for Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remake. I am very sorry, but to that degree I will make a game that will meet your expectations."
“Last year, I didn’t put out much information on either title, but this year I want to show our progress at an event somewhere. The release of the titles themselves have still have a way to go. But there are many titles releasing this year, if you can wait for any ‘surprises.'”
Nomura did confirm that both games will be featured at gaming events this year to showcase the progress of each game. I guess the cure of Final Fantasy XV continues to live on in future Square Enix projects.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is set to release for Xbox One and PS4. Final Fantasy 7 Remake will release in episodes on PS4.
