DOOM: Eternal is looking to be the hit Bethesda definitely needs. With id Software going on record that there will be no microtransactions and the gameplay providing more what players love about DOOM. Killing demons and insane high-pace FPS gameplay. With IGN First getting another look at the game's multiplayer mode Battlemode.
For those unaware, Battlemode is a PvP PvE match where 1 player takes on the role of the Doom Slayer and 2 players take control 1 of 6 demons. The Doom Slayer will be given every weapon with full ammo and the demons can summon ally demons to the fight and respawn after death but only if the other demon player is alive.
The video doesn't provide much new information that wasn't revealed in the Multiplayer Overview shown in 2019. But it show an unscripted match in action against some QA testers. With the developers providing some tips on how to play. Such as kiting the Doom Slayer to prevent him from ambushing the demon players. The Doom Slayer is much more powerful than the demons, as expected, but the demons can deploy healing and toxic auras, summon demons, and the benefit of an additional player.
The Doom Slayer is a force to be reckoned with. With the demon slayer able to take down a demon player with ease.
