Oh wow, it seems like the Spec Ops franchise is still a thing. These games were once stated to be the pinnacle of realism and did fairly well, before tumbling down into broken mediocrity and dying in anonymity. Well, 2K Games is still bringing it back and adapting it for modern consoles in that fashionably gritty and realistic sense. The game is set in sandstorm-ravaged Dubai, following Captain Walker on his missions and is said to tell captivating stories, while mowing down people. I have no idea if this is true, but the trailer has a dark-sided end to say the least.

I remember seeing this at E3 some time ago, but had it confused in my head with Medal of Honor for some reason. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. You decide. Come spring 2012, fans of the genre will be able to get their hands on this title.
