Konami begins refunding purchases of Silent Hill HD Collection for Xbox 360

By c_rake, Posted 11 Aug 2012

Yesterday's unfortunate report that Konami will never be patching the Xbox 360 release if its Silent Hill HD Collection has been made just a bit better. Starting today, Konami is offering refunds to buyers of the 360 edition of the collection.

This is, apparently, an actual thing that happens in Silent Hill. I'm... not sure what to think.

The company asked those affected through the Silent Hill Facebook page to contact their customer support for "verification and further details on how to exchange your product." A follow-up post on the page stated: "The exchange is for other Konami titles or versions of titles."

Copies of the 360 version of Silent Hill HD bought by August 8 this year will be eligible until October 7.

The game, however, despite everything, will still be sold on Xbox 360.
