Rock Band 3 Setlist Unveiled  News by fishdalf

A genuine mistake or a publicity stunt to promote their new game? You be the judge.

During this years' GamesCom a “leaked” video was posted on YouTube revealing the full 83 songs setlist for the upcoming rhythm game Rock Band 3. Apparently some guys caught a Harmonix employee scrolling through every song in a demo of the game, uploaded it, and thus an internet frenzy took place.

John Drake of Harmonix  was quick to squash the validity of the footage, claiming, “unless you hear it on rockband.com, you should know, it’s not confirmed news.” This was undoubtedly a feeble attempt at denying what was clearly unarguable proof that every single song had been revealed.

Then the video below suddenly popped up, with none other than John Drake stating that nothing is yet official, BUT with the entire in-game setlist scrolling behind him in what is a rather funny tongue-in-cheek moment. See for yourself:

Now was this a genuine leak and this was their way of laughing at themselves for being so haphazard? Or was it the biggest game-related PR stunt of the year so far. We’ll let you be the judge of that one, but for now we give you the entire Rock Band 3 setlist:

Deffo a clever publicity trick... Even though I've seen some of these songs on Guitar Hero series, this setlist is freaking awesome... *starts singing "Here I go again"* Smile

seriously, why these guys only choose to put "no one knows"? there are TONS of Queens of the Stone Age songs that could be used there, rather than a song that's been featured about 3437825647 times in RB/GH games.

Two others to date, but I see your point.

That's the beauty of a RB/GH setlist though. You haven't heard of half of them, and then after playing through them you actually end up liking the majority. I've discovered so many new songs this way.

I hope the setlist change a bit till launch, cause there are too many GH songs in disc. This songs could be available as DLC instead of put officially in game.
