EU's 275K MMORPG  News by Daavpuke

Are you sick of paying taxes for roads, schooling and all that crap?

Luckily, the EU has you young hipsters covered. That’s why they decided it’s time to throw themselves in the gaming industry with Citzalia. This €275.000 project (of your money) will enable you to play along the real exciting life of politics, down at the European Parliament.

Here’s a small clip from the press release:

“You can be a Member of the European Parliament (MEP), a journalist, a student or any role you want to create.

Others will be able to vote on the quality of your proposals and you will be able to vote on theirs. By earning experience points you will be able move up to new expert levels in Citzalia.

Current Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and European officials will be on hand to guide you through the procedures and provide background information.”

“Oh sh..”, “Yes” and “Score” were some of the first expressions that came to mind. I immediately destroyed my pre-order of Civilization V, because there’s just no way it will top this splendid RPG.

And the best part is that the developers, European Service Network (ESN), are based right here in Brussels. Now I can finally show some pride, as I dodge the entire internet for hurtful comments.

Nice home page with mortified elders by the way.

The point of view here was a little sketchy... What was the name and/or rank of the person who was quoted? Internet also needs to be spelled with a capital 'I'. Seriously. :/

@TempTech: No one signed off on the press release, so I can hardly quote them. I suppose I could spell internet with a capital, not that I see it as a proper name.

@Daavpuke: Still... Wouldn't the company be doing the press release? If one person speaks on behalf of the company, it's the same as the company speaking, or so you would hope. Even a date or something might have been nice at the bottom, just to mark the quote. Actually, Internet in that context is supposed to be spelled with a capital. Don't worry, I used to get scolded for it a lot. It's because when you use lower case, you're talking about an interconnected network also known as the intranet, or the connection between two or more computers. It's used a lot in schools, doctor's offices, places where you need to connect multiple computers. The Internet with a capital is the world-wide web. That make sense?
