Happy first of September everyone! I know for some of you lucky cats, this means a brand new year of school. And for some of you luckier kids, this means no school. Luckily, if you’ve been paying attention, this also ushers in the day of Nintendo’s Ambassador Program. Once you’re done flaming over certain reviews, I’ll let you in on how to go through with that.

NoobFeed News - 3DS Ambassador Program In Effect [+Tutorial Video]

First off, you do need a 3DS that has been online prior to August 12; otherwise no cookies. Should that be settled, then simply hop on down to the eShop. Don’t worry about not getting a notification, as I mentioned in the previous article, this can have some latency (if at all). Once in the eShop, find the Settings icon, indicated with a wrench. From there, you’ll want the third tab or the one that says “Downloaded titles” or something of the sort. Scroll down to find your games waiting for you, among whom the amazing Metroid and both Legend of Zelda games.

I know you guys are lazy, so I tried to quickly make an explanation video, to illustrate. I sound drowsy, but that’s only because I have no idea when I last slept for longer than a power nap. Questionable reviews don’t write themselves, you know. Happy gaming, die-hard Nintendo fans! Here’s hoping you don’t own too many of these games already.

  • So if I buy a 3DS after few months or next, I dont get the cookies?

    Posted Sep 02, 2011

  • @Sleven: No, sir. No cookies for you. You'll have to pay.

  • I have a feeling this made a lot of retro gamers happy for being a 3ds owner.

  • Thanks for the video, Daav. Always love your videos. Also love the music. :)

Got my NES games - after waiting almost 12 hours after North America got theirs... not happy, Nintendo. I was ready at midday on September 1, after learning the US got theirs on 31 August.

Regardless, loving Metroid and Super Mario. Have not played the others on their native console before so this was a first for me.

  • @caityful: Why thank you. This is coincidentally one of my favorite songs.

I had to wait quite a while as well. And I've played a little Mario and Yoshi in my downtime from playing games. Yes, playing games as an alternative to playing games; I need a hobby.

  • @Daavpuke You could always develop games as your hobby. :P

Also, I don't get it, but Mario and Yoshi is ridiculously addictive, despite just being a puzzle game... I love Super Mario, but I find I'm playing Mario and Yoshi more...

May I ask which artist this song is by, by the way?

  • @caityful: I don't have the tech skills, I'm afraid.
Yup, simple effective mechanics are the best. Why add more when fun is primal anyway.

And the song is called "Five Finger Discount' by Choking Victim. From the album "No Gods, No Managers" - Hands down the best album ever created. It's perfect in every way.

  • @Daavpuke Too true, friend. Too true. Plus that darn high score needs to be higher...

Thanks, I'll look up that album right now, actually! :)
