We’ve written a preview on what to expect in The Elder Scrolls Online. Go read it, because it has things to say. Still, for those who want to also view around the world, we’ve prepared just that in our sessions for the massively multiplayer online (MMO) title. Hey, we even discuss what the game is about there too, because you’d like to know, right? Why else would you be here?

The Elder Scrolls Online Beta Gameplay

Tutorial

Ok, we’ll break this down into two categories. First up, we’ll dive into the dark tutorial, set in the underworld of Tamriel. Here, players get rushed through a mostly linear plane of semi-existence, to learn the ropes, take on their first quests and get cracking in the first dungeon. It won’t nearly get the variety of the main experience, but it’s a start. Watch the tutorial gameplay below.

The Grand Adventure

Once completed, the real journey will begin through fragments of the universe. These are further divided into select regions, where many people are awaiting tasks, tons of items can be looted and turned into other useful things. From wolves to giant scarabs, there are fierce monsters to fight, traps to overcome and choices to be made. Sit back and enjoy some Beta gameplay below.

We’re currently mildly impressed with the possibilities in The Elder Scrolls Online. If you’ve played around with its Beta events, let us know in the comments.

Make sure to see more in our graphics comparison!
