It's still hard to believe that Final Fantasy XV finally released and now it's coming to PC next year. However, if you already own a copy or never played Final Fantasy XV is the PC version worth it? After experiencing the game at this year's New York Comic Con I can say yes, it's absolutely worth it.
Now, this isn't a different game. Everything from the original campaign and all the updates is available in this version of Final Fantasy XV, so why is it worth it? It's the presentation, everything looks, runs, and plays phenomenally. Which the exception of the Xbox One X version, since the console isn't out yet, this is the best I've seen the game running.
During my playthrough of Final Fantasy XV on the Xbox One and PS4 Pro, a lot of issues ranging from graphical hiccups and even crashing were present. While none of these were problematic enough to affect my experience with the game they were noticeable. During my play time with the Windows Edition, I was floored of how incredible everything looked and how well the game played. Even looking into the Regalia as Ignis drove above looked amazing.
It's clear that this isn't a simple port, Square Enix went above and beyond to ensure that the those with a powerful PC will experience the best possible version of Final Fantasy XV. It may be the same game I played last year but if I had a PC powerful enough to play Noctis' adventure looking like it did at New York Comic Con I would do it all over again.
Final Fantasy XV Windows edition is due to release in 2018. Final Fantasy XV is now available for Xbox One and PS4.
