Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, I have had one-hundred and one thing's on my plate lately, which is probably the reason I've put on weight. Har har. I suppose the best place to start on a life update is to say I got engaged to my girlfriend of two years. We went out for a drive to a place that over-looks the city in which I live - Liverpool. For those who don't know me or the place all that well, it's where The Beatles came from.
It actually took me a few hours to pluck up the courage. I planned on doing it at the start of the evening but kept putting it off. It wasn't until we had gone for a meal, took a detour for some ice-cream, and then set-off home before I pulled up in a car park and did it. I could barely get the words out of my mouth. I could feel my voice box wobble as I attempted to say those words "will you marry me." I thought against getting down on one knee as i was that nervous I probably would have keeled over in the process. She of course said yes, and we couldn't be happier.
In other news, I've started an accounting course, which is now taking up a fair portion of my time. I only received my pack a couple of weeks back, and worryingly have my first short test this month. I'm enjoying it though, which is a little strange to say about a bunch of numbers, tables and equations, but I'm getting a good sense that I could really make a career out of this. It's an upgrade to what I'm doing now anyway, which is sitting on my rump all day and night long watching cars and answering phones as a security guard. Ironically, that's where I find most of my time to study.
