What the... #2 & Random Videos  Category: Games

As a manner of filling the holes in between the time that I get less lazy to work on my review and my featured blogs, I came upon something strange in the games I've been playing these days. In this blog, I present to you "What the... #2" and three random videos that I found on YouTube, videos that of course, entertained me to a minimum. Of course, I will provide some details as my appreciation for each of them, just so I maintain the so called Fetus virus alive.

For those who may not remember, "What the..." is basically a small series of videos that I make whenever I see something that makes me say "what the hell was that/is happening!?" in a video game. The previous and first video taking part in that series was from Cryostasis, and while I could have built the series with that game alone, I decided not to do so. As time flew by, I wondered if I'd see such a thing again with my current games, and no sooner than this morning did I stumble accross such a moment in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. I definitely did not expect to include such a game in the small series of videos, despite it having such a strange atmosphere. As I was walking my way through some tunnels in the underground, I encountered enemies who were quickly taken care of. Now, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is filled with creatures of the Zone, which in most cases appear as mutated animals, but I was not ready for what was awaiting me. I decided to follow that said creature to get a closer look, but once it decided to turn around and face me I just didn't feel like risking it any longer. Here is the video:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: SoC - Brain Damaged

Yep, I used the ending of my last Shadow of Chernobyl video as an introduction to the video, that's how lazy I can be ;p Now let's move on to some random videos which proved to be somewhat entertaining. Fear not though, most videos are quite short.

----------

Valkyrie Profile finishing move: Valkyrie (Nibelung Valesti)

Nibelung Valesti! I always loved it when Lenneth says that. Valkyrie Profile has always been one of my favorite RPG to exist, and it definitely is easy to be my favorite in the genre considering I don't like RPGs. For some reason, VP has always interested me as it merges 2D Side Scrollers and Role Playing Games together so well. You wander around on the planet in search of warriors who are worthy of becoming Einherjars for a godly war. As you float above the world to search for these warriors, the game moves to a 2D Side Scroller view when entering a city, a dungeon and such. The enemies are visible to you and the first attackers is defined by who strikes first in all of its 2D Side Scrolling Action Platforming glory. You then enter the fight which is typical of RPGs, only each of your 4 characters are assigned to a button, and pressing that button makes them attack. You can then build up combos and find the perfect chains of button pressing for the deadliest attacks possible. Definitely an amazing game and I recommend it to everyone.. really, everyone.

----------

Harehare Yukai - Rockman

I actually have no idea what the title of this video is because it is written in Japanese, but I do know that it is Megaman performing the Harehare Yukai dance which is seen in Haruhi Suzumiya, some kind of anime which I do not even know of, but it seems pretty popular. This video is quite literally hilarious lol, even the song was remixed in 8-bits for Megaman. There are no other reasons or details for this video other than it being pretty funny. All of this popped up to me while searching for some Megaman videos, quite honestly. YouTube is great for that: It gives you really random videos, even if you didn't search for it.

----------

Megaman Drumming - Enjoy The Zoo

I had a hard time choosing the third video, but I decided to go with this one although I already posted a Megaman video in this blog. That guy simply amazes me, drumming to the song of Hardman.. Yes, I know, you don't need to point out the Robot Master's name again ;p
It isn't my favorite song in the Blue Bomber's universe, but mixed with the durmming skills it definitely sounds different and better than it originally was. The guy sure shows some skills there.

----------
Well that's about it for today, I included these videos simply because my blog would have been much too short with only one video, Sleven will be proud of me for maintaining the virus alive :] Plus I won't get all those curious comments about how short my blog was ;p muahahaha.

Your blog was actually short. Today I watched a whole bunch of youtube videos while I was investigating Jesse Slaughter. And, now I had four very nice, no actually 3 very nice and one creepy videos to watch. hihi. First thing first. What the hack was that creature? I knew something weird was coming when you interested into that tunnel. And you didn’t surprise. I didn’t want to stream the video since you wrote creature but I couldn’t resist Tongue out The next video was ok, though I was mostly trying to figure out what she was trying to do. Thanks to the deception because it doesn’t state much about it. hihi. The third one was really awesome. I felt like dancing with Megaman and his crew Laughing No comment about the last one. That guy is simply good Smile

And, don’t worry about that virus. It helps your blogs get featured everytime xD

Did you become too cocky when you were messing around with that zombie like thingy? I really need to play VC. Someone the damage didnt give me that much of a wow factor. The first time I was wowed is that when I played FFVIII when I got the Ultimate weapon for the main character. It was when I was losing a long hard battle and never expected to win even using limit breaks. It is that time I used the ultimate limit break for the first time and I was stunned by the combos and damage it made. What a feeling it was.

It the third video, your reason of loving Megaman because of his catchy dance? Damn I want to have skills like the one in the fourth video. it was awesome!!

@Tanya @Xiao @Koshai

Tanya: I have no idea what that creature was.. I was expecting to see a name or something when searching the body but nothing.. it simply said it was an enemy. In the second video it's just Lenneth's (main character) final attack. Each characters have special attacks which you build up by equipping better weapons, etc. and Nibelung Valesti is Lenneth's final special attack, the most powerful one.

Xiao: Perhaps you need to install Adobe Flash Player or update it. I know there's been an update for it not so long ago. You should go check on Adobe's website to be sure you have it installed on your current browser.

Koshai: lol in FFVIII if you know the trick with the cards, every bosses can be a piece of cake. Anyway there's stuff you do which then you can have Squall on Limit Break at EVERY turn and the other characters keep reviving and healing others.. so it's limit break after limit break. I actually reached the final boss of that game, then tried to beat the impossible optional boss before it and stopped playing because I couldn't beat him.. never finished it. Then again, I didn't know about that trick before either.
Oh and apparently, hare Hare Yukai is very hard to learn and master, but yeah.. never tried and I don't plan on trying lol.

But it wasn't attacking you. It was just walking and you were pocking it.

@Tanya: I know! I was expecting him to attack me, but he did nothing.. and that's why I decided to follow him around lol.. but when he turned around and started facing me wherever I went I didn't feel like risking it.. I die far too often in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and I rarely save, so I didn't feel like risking it ;p

I had them installed. You see, they are working now. I don't know what happened last time Frown

Among all the videos I love Harehare Yukai dance. It was so funny. Why did you remove the voice?

@Xiao: I didn't, whomever created the Rockman version also remixed the song in 8-bit and well.. 8-bit songs don't have vocals lol. But anyway, here you go ;p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5G5bD2Do-k

To be honest with you, the Rockman version made me addicted to that song lol.
