Street Fighter Vs Tekken Category: Games

No, I'm not going to debate which one is better. They're making a Street Fighter Vs. Tekken game!

This could be really awesome. My only complaint from the short gameplay video is that it looks like SFIV with Tekken characters added, I was hoping for more of a fusion. The SFIV artstyle is cool but I think it would be better to keep it unique, and use something more along the lines of Tekken's more realistic look. I have no idea when the game will be out, or how far in development it is, but I'm looking forward to it.

Edit: They're telling me that not only is there Street Fighter Vs. Tekken, but there is a second game Tekken Vs. Street Fighter? If this is true, awesome.

Tekken fighters will be owned by the speed of Street Fighter characters. Tekken is so slow. Maybe Dead or Alive could be a better option. The best alternative I can give is Tekken vs Virtua Fighter. It will fit perfectly. Or if anyone still dreaming about Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter?

Like Koshai I also think that there's a little difference between how the original games play speed-wise(i haven't played any of the lates titles in any of the series...), so it may become a little bit imba. If this trend of cross-franchise fighting keeps up I would definetely would like to see a Bloody Roar vs something.

Next thing you know they're going to release a Super Street Fighter VS Tekken.. then a Super Street Fighter Tournament Edition VS Tekken.. and then a Street Fighter Alpha Super Tournament Black and Blue Edition (or something) VS Tekken.. etc.. etc..

lol just kidding, I actually dislike both Street Fighter and Tekken :]

Oh and I NEVER want to see Mortal Kombat mixed in these types of games ever again. I don't want another "MK rated Teen because of DC" situation. MK simply cannot be mixed to any of them. That's directed to Koshai by the way ;p

@BrunoBRS : I'm not counting it out yet. If it turns out great, your loss.

@Koshai : Tekken Vs. Virtua Fighter does sound good. I think these games will just be using one gameplay engine and adding the other franchises characters, with maybe a few small additions (like the tag team gameplay we saw in the SFxT trailer. So speed balance shouldn't be a problem.

@Tanya / @DevilJIN : I think I saw him post something about this in the News board.

@Sleven : Tekken used to be my fighting game, I played 3 and 4 all the time at arcades and the home versions. I heard 6 wasn't quite as good though, so I'm waiting for them to hopefully improve with Namco's version of this game.

@Xiao : Street Fighter X Tekken is being developed by Capcom, while Tekken X Street Fighter is by Namco.

@Daktary : Bloody Roar? Never even heard of it.
