sorry I've been absent Category: Health/Fitness

Just wanted to drop in quickly to say hi. I'm still around, just unable to post much the last few days. I am in the middle of an intense medical treatment, so my focus has to be on that. Sometimes it keeps me busy. (I have to work out at the gym along with all this). So forgive me as I drift in and out.

I'm working on getting a pic of myself so I can post it on the OT board. The only recent one I have is a self portrait taken in the mirror (flash and all) I had just broken my hand and wanted to show off my new cast. lol. You'll think I'm a dork if I post that one...wait I'm a dork anyway.

Hey there, I hope you're doing well and I wish everything goes well with your medical treatment. The model Stratocaster is very popular among musicians, but the only guitar that I can play is a plastic guitar in GH.

thanks I usually play jazz, but right now I'm just chillin' learning to play and sing some songs. I'm learning "On the Mend" by the Foo Fighters and "Sixteen Days" by Whiskeytown. I also like to sing and play Neil Young, the Indigo Girls, the Beatles...stuff like that.

thanks, the medical treatment sometimes takes all my time and energy. I resisted GH and RB for the longest time, now I'm hooked. I still feel silly with a plastic guitar in my hands though. lol.

oh its better now, still a bit sore sometimes though. It was weeks ago. I took up guitar hero and played racing games with my wheel till I got better. when there's a will there's a way.

I'm grateful I broke my right (strumming) hand. if it were my left hand I'd still be unable to play

that guitar is my baby. Last year at this time we had wildfires in our area and I was forced to evacuate my house twice. (with only a few minutes to prepare) After the pets, that guitar was next to go in the car.

thanks, I will need time now and then to take care of business, I don't plan on leaving though. I'm just a bit overwhelmed at the moment.

I studied jazz in school, so I play a bit of that. I'm mostly a singer /songwriter/musician so I sit and play some of the old things I wrote, along with stuff by Neil Young, The Beatles, Pearl Jam, The Eagles. I haven't written anything in a while, been thinking of getting around to that too. love your avi btw!

lol, I don't consider myself a singer, but I write songs and sing them anyway. Its probably best if we give the singing job to someone else.

I kind of quit guitar for a few years, kind of picking it back up again. I wish more gals played out there. I'm considering getting back "out" there and gigging again. its a lot of work for little money though.
