Have been thinking of getting this game for a while so I did.
First thing it shows you a video of the last game i think was road to hill 30 so you kinda catch up but the game does rely on previous knowledge of the past games for the characters, but not a huge issue.
You pretty much get straight into the game with a guess a training exercis in a mission than back tracks to England for another few movie sceens before you really start the game in Holland Taking place around operation market garden.
There are alot of missions to complete even tank mission where you are than part of the Irish Guards. So the game lenght is just right but also notice you do one or 2 missions twice like the hospital sceen.
You really get to know your squad through the cut sceen some can be funny as and some sceenes not so funny but add to the game.
The grapics are awesome looks very real even seeing AA fire at night aiming for bombers, planes flying overhead, and little details like arm patches are brillian done superb on this. Every now and again you can recon and see the environment or VIEW MOMENT which can be a gun firing or a glider landing which is awesome the city of Eindhoven is brilliant.
Gameplay relies on command your squad of either MG42, bazooka or assult teams and drwwing fire ot one team and flanking them with another whole game pretty much relies on this not really a FPS but i tend to use FPS a bit where i can the MG42 and bazooka team will come hand for surpressing the enemy to move.
its a bit like the show band of brother if you ever seen it.
and there is destroyable cover depending on the type wood cover can be destroyed by MG42 where sandbag or brick have to be hit by gernades or bazooka. I lve the headshots It zooms in and slow notions to see the helmet com off end the exploding of blood and even parts of the head awesome and does the same for bazooka and gernales and see the sandbags blown up and body parts everywhere really the best part.
