One of the biggest games of this year is coming to Wii U, and it’s called Pokken Tournament! With the game’s release coming closer each day we here at Noobfeed want to keep everyone alert of all the characters gamers will be able to choose from. Here is the current roster.
Charizard
While Charizard hasn’t done well in Screwattack’s Deathbattle arena this powerful dragon shouldn’t be taken lightly. Revealed back in 2015 this power focused Pokemon uses its Fire-type attacks, such as his iconic Flamethrower and powerful Flare Blitz, and the Seismic Toss. When Burst Mode is activated Charizard becomes the more powerful Mega Charizard X.
Pikachu
You cannot have a Pokemon game without Pikachu. As a standard style Pokemon Pikachu is capable of Thunderbolt, Thunder while in the air, and Electro Ball. Its burst attack causes Pikachu to slam the ground and emit vast quantities of electricity.
Pikachu Libre
A variation of Pikachu Pikachu Libre unleashes the Pokemon’s iconic electric attacks, mixed with luchador wrestling moves. Dropkicks, thunder- punch, power-bombs and even an suplex.
Machamp
Revealed as one of the first fighters in the Pokken Tournament roster Machamp is perfect for the ring. Focusing more on physical moves Machamp overpowers opponents with a variety of punches, throws and grapples.
Gengar
One of the most requested characters in the Pokemon universe is also one of the most dangerous fighters in Pokken Tournament. Genger is a technique style Pokemon that favors ghostly attacks such as Shadow Ball and Shadow Punch, but can cause major calamity with Hypnosis and Curse. It can become Mega Gengar when its Burst Attack is triggered.
Shadow Mewtwo
Making its debut in Pokken Tournament Shadow Mewtwo is more dangerous than Mewtwo. Using a mixture of shadow and psychic attacks this legendary Pokemon will wipe the floor of anyone who is unprepared.
Mewtwo
Following the reveal of Shadow Mewtwo many wondered if Mewtwo would make an appearance. While the powerful Psychic-type Pokemon’s attacks remain a mystery we can speculate that attacks like Swift, Recover and Psychic will be part of its move list.
Suicune
The Legendary water dog will appear as a quadruped fighter. Using mostly kicks and classic moves like Ice Beam, Aurora Beam, and Blizzard expect Suicune to bring a unique take on the Pokken Tournament fighting roster. Triggering Suicune’s burst attack will cause a hail of ice that shoots opponents in the air and freezes them.
Sceptile
An unexpected addition seeing that Grass starter Pokemon don’t get a lot of love in the Pokemon community, but seeing Sceptile was refreshing. Mixing together martial arts and his affinity with grass-based attacks Spectile like Lead Blade, Razor Leaf and Leech Seed. Spectile can amplify his attacks when he Mega Evolves using Burst Mode.
Blaziken
If Charizard wasn’t enough Blaziken was also revealed for fire Pokemon fans to drool over. As a standard style Pokemon Blaziken is suited for all styles of fighting. Blaziken mixes together fire and marital art attacks for a typhoon of hurt. Of course this martial artist can trigger his Mega Evolution when Burst Mode is active.
Gardevoir
Mewtwo won’t be the only Psychic in the Pokken Tournament roster. Gardevoir. This technique style Pokemon uses powerful Psychic based attacks, usually in the form of beams, to overwhelm opposing Pokemon. Activating Burst Mode is access Gardevoir’s mega evolved form.
Garchomp
This power dragon uses attacks such as Sand Tomb and Dragon Rush to quickly take opponents down. Accessing Garchomp’s mega form requires using his Burst Attack.
Lucario
Making the jump from Super Smash Bros. Lucario is a standard Fighting-type power. Combining Aura Sphere and Bomb Club with standard physical attacks Lucario is quick and dangerous, especially when using these attacks while in his mega form.
Weavile
This Dark and Ice type Pokemon focuses on speed above everything else. Weavile can extend the reach of its claws and launch small ice projectiles. Its Burst Attack launches one deadly claw attack.
Chandelure
In one of the strangest revealed Chandelure was announced as a playable character. While no footage of this Pokemon in action screenshots show the Ghost/Fire-type Pokemon floating in mid-air while using a mix of physical and shadow attacks.
Braixen
Someone at Namco Bandai really likes fire Pokemon, with another Fire-type joining the gray. Braixen is the second evolution of Fennekin and uses a combination of psychic and fire attacks, such as Fire Blast, Flamethrower and Psychic.
