We changed the BIOS settings to turn on performance mode to see how well it worked, and the results were great. The CPU power utilization rose to 160W, and the machine kept its clock speed at about 4.8GHz, making it even faster.
After making this change, we got a score of 1904, which is the same as desktop processors like the Intel 14900K, but it uses a lot less power.
GPU and Connectivity
The Ryzen AI Max 395 Plus has an integrated GPU that works as well as an RTX 4070 in a laptop, which is one of its best features. This built-in GPU might be enough for many professionals, such as photographers and 3D artists, so that they won't need an external GPU. This small PC also does a great job of connecting to other devices.
There are two USB 4.0 connectors on the front that support up to 40Gbps, and two USB 4.0 ports on the back that support up to 80Gbps.
The two 10GB Ethernet ports also let you connect to the internet quickly, which is fantastic for people who need fast internet for tasks like AI work or programs that use a lot of data.
