Borderlands 3 The Rampager Boss Fight Guide

The first major Vault in Borderlands 3 is guarded by a powerful beast. Called The Rampager, this creature is deadly and here's how to defeat it.

Fortunately, you'll have Maya to help you during this fight. The Rampager will start shooting fire blasts in all directions and hopping across the area. If you take too much damage you can shoot the wisps in either side to get ammo and health if needed.

The Rampager's weak point is the chest and when it's open you can maximize damage. Deal enough and The Rampager will get temporarily injured.

During the next phase, The Rampager will start to absorb the wisp and start using corrosive damage. It'll now be immune to that type of damage but perform many of the same tactics.  The only major change will be a powerful laser it shoots into the air while firing corrosive blasts at the player. Just shoot it in the chest when this happens and dodge between the blast or jump over them. Guardians will appear but they're very weak and not much of an annoyance. 

During the final phase, The Rampager will start leaping across platforms while dropping fire blast and shooting them towards the player. Dodging these are critical since Guardians will not appear during this phase. After, The Rampager will show its final form.

In this form The Rampager will actively chase the player and use heavy melee attacks. As before, it's weak point is the chest area. Keep shooting it until The Rampager dies.
