Game of the Month: October 2016

October was a great month for video games. We saw the release of the next Batman episode, Battlefield 1 debuted without any online issues, Skyrim had players calling out of work, and Titanfall 2 had fans forsaking all responsibilities for to play. However, what was the best game of the month?

Winner: Titanfall 2

Making a new IP is hard enough, making a sequel to that not only improves on the original game but feels new is just as hard. Titanfall 2 not only delivers a solid experience but builds on everything that made the first game such a hit. The single-player campaign's story wasn't anything original but the presentation easily overshadowed its shortcomings. Best of all the multiplayer had so many reasons to keep playing with intense gameplay mechanics, precise controls, and a wealth of unlockables. Best of all EA and Respawn plans to support the game without any additional cost, that means no season pass. All content released for now on is going to be free!

Titanfall 2 is now available on Origin PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
