GTA 6—Every Returning Character from GTA IV & V Who Could Appear

If you’re curious about which familiar faces might show up in GTA VI, there’s more to consider than just fan theories. Some characters already have ties to Vice City, Leonida, or the criminal world, and others have stories that could easily continue in the new game.

None of this is officially confirmed, but the game’s lore gives some of these characters a good reason to come back. Jerry Kapowitz Could Finally Reach Vice City. Jerry Kapowitz, a character from GTA IV, unexpectedly ends up with the diamonds everyone is after. 

Later radio broadcasts mention that he plans to open a gun shop and liquor store in Vice City.

This gives Rockstar an easy way to bring him back. If Jerry went through with his plans, he might already have a business in Leonida. Gay Tony and Luis Lopez Could Return. Tony Prince, also known as Gay Tony, eventually moved to Los Santos in GTA Online.

Even so, his history with Vice City makes it a natural place for his nightclub business. Luis Lopez could also return, especially if Rockstar brings back Tony’s nightclub empire. Some leaked footage suggests GTA VI will have a detailed nightclub management system, but that doesn’t confirm either character will appear.

Sammy Bottino Has a Vice City Connection. Sammy Bottino’s background also links directly to Vice City. In GTA IV and GTA V, his story includes references to murder charges from Vice City in 2007.

It’s a small detail, but Rockstar has used background lore like this to connect different parts of the GTA universe before. GTA VI might revisit Bottino’s story. El Rubio's Criminal Empire Could Reach Leonida.

El Rubio runs his drug operation from Cayo Perico, and since he’s based in the Caribbean, it makes sense that Vice City and Leonida are part of his smuggling network. A new criminal organization would need an established name in the region.

El Rubio already has the connections and resources to make an appearance believable.

Al Di Napoli Already Has a Reason to Be There. Al Di Napoli has an even closer connection to Vice City. In GTA Online, he mentions living there and discusses Tony Prince and Luis Lopez’s plans to expand their nightclub business. That makes him one of the easiest characters for Rockstar to bring back, since there's already a reason for him to be in Leonida.

tinez Could Return to Vice City Radio. Fernando Martinez is probably one of the safest bets on this list. He first hosted Emotion 98.3 in the original GTA: Vice City and later showed up in the HD universe.

Because he’s so closely tied to Vice City's radio culture, bringing him back would be a great callback for longtime fans. Franklin Clinton fits Leonida's new culture. FrankliFranklin Clinton has a different reason to come back.

After GTA V, he runs F. Clinton and Partner, an agency that works with celebrities. Given the massive music, celebrity, and influencer culture surrounding Leonida in GTA VI, Franklin's business could fit perfectly into the new setting.

Rockstar could bring him back through a cameo, a mission, or even an expansion of his agency. Michael De Santa Could Have a Connection Through Film.

Michael De Santa's career also opens up an interesting possibility. He works as a film producer at Richards Majestic in Los Santos, and some GTA VI footage has reportedly shown DVDs of Meltdown, the movie Michael produced.

That doesn't mean Michael himself will show up, but Rockstar could use the film industry to connect Los Santos and Vice City.

Trevor Philips Isn't Completely Off the Table. Trevor seemed like one of the least likely characters to return. His voice actor, Steven Ogg, once said he was ready to move on, so many fans thought Trevor's story was over.

However, in more recent interviews, Ogg has said he appreciates the character again and would be open to returning if Rockstar reached out. That still doesn't confirm Trevor's return, but it makes the idea harder to rule out.

Rockstar hasn't confirmed any of these characters for GTA VI, so think of them as possibilities, not leaks or official announcements. Connections are interesting.

Some characters already have direct ties to Vice City, while others could return through businesses, criminal networks, radio stations, or their careers. If Rockstar wants GTA VI to feel connected to the larger GTA universe, there are already plenty of established characters it could bring back.
