Journey to the Savage Planet Boss Fight Guide - How to Defeat Cragclaw

Journey to the Savage Planet's first boss encounter is against a giant crab-like creature called the Cragclaw. Here's how to defeat it.

To make the fight much easier, collecting about 20 orange goo upgrades is ideal. There's at least 25 in the journey leading up to the fight.

Once the battle begins the Cragclaw will highlight its weak points. Small tentacles connected to glowing orbs. Those are the weak points. The battle has the Cragclaw using shock waves that target your specific location. Either jump over or crouch under to avoid the attacks.

During the second phase, the Cragclaw will start to shoot lava pools onto the platforms. Just avoid them by using your tether or leaping to a nearby platform. Continue to shoot the exposed weak points as they appear.

In the final phase, the Cragclaw will continue to use the same tactics but at a higher rate of fire. Exercise caution and shoot the weak points as they appear to kill the creature. Remember to also scan it.
