Moto GP 09-10 : Demo Hands On

Games by Canana on  Mar 07, 2010

MotoGP 09/10 is like the previous portions a very complete game, as it contains many different engines, the drivers and of course the sponsors. The motor racing fans will be lucky than not to be licensed with the amount of products that this game has. The gameplay is good as before because the new season and beyond through free downloadable content will be added and this creates the most complete racing game of its kind at this time.

In the demo version there isn't too much to offer, as you start at the bottom of the ladder . You start in the 125cc class, which in itself is not much for, certainly not in contrast with the real engine of the GP class, but well, you must start somewhere. You get presented with a calendar and this you can see when and where to race. After your first race you can assemble your own profile, choose your bike, colors and such. If you some more, then you can choose a sponsor, hiring employees and so ultimately  work your carrer until reaching the top class.

The graphics are ok, without anything beautiful, nor anything ugly. Let's say that aren't special for the current generation of consoles. The pilots aren't anything taken from a fairy tale, you can also choose a pilot when you start your carrer, based on statistics.

Probably in the sound field lies the greatest aspect of this demo, with a blend of alternative rock/techno music in a variety of soundtracks at your disposal. It's curious to see your progress in the race by simply crashing at a very high rate when you focus just in the 'not-so-bad- soundtrack.

In the end, Moto GP 09-10 needs something more to get some fans, the ones that follows this sport deserves a greater version. The developers should think that probably just releasing one game every year isn't enough.
