by Grayshadow on Jun 16, 2015
After an awkward muppet introduction Nintendo decided to give us the world perimere of Star Fox for the Wii U.
Star Fox Zero
Taking roots from Star Fox 64 and the unreleased Star Fox 2, Star Fox Zero is the latest installment in the popular space shooter franchise. Players will be able to transform their ship from the arwing into the Walker. Also players will take control of the Landmaster, which can also change into an aerial vehicle, and newcomer Gyrowing.
The Wii U GamePad will be used to give another perspective. Players will have a cockpit view of the vehicle, allowing players to focus their target reticle. The two-sticks will be used to pull off all the special maneuvers such as the misnamed barrel roll. Players won’t be limited to one vehicle, but can choose various vehicles for each stage.
Reggie Fils-Aime hinted on a special project called MX, which will appear in 2016. Instead Reggie wanted to center focus on the 30th anniversary of the Super Mario franchise and Amiibos. Mario Maker made a small appearance than Reggie went straight to Amiibos.
Later on in the show it was shown that different Amiibos will change the game’s mechanics. Using specific Amiibos, like the Wii-Fit Trainer, will change Mario into that character when he collects a Mystery Mushroom. Others, such as the limited-edition 8-bit Mario Amiibo, will make Mario bigger. Mario Maker is set to release on September 11, 2015. Mario Maker will be available for play at select Best Buy locations on June 17 and June 20.

The Totem mechanic is the newest addition to Zelda Triforce Heroes. This was the reason behind three characters instead of four. This bleeds into the story with all three players claiming to being the hero of this legend. Zelda Triforce Heroes is coming fall to Nintendo 3DS.
Hyrule Warriors is coming to 3DS with all the DLC from the Wii U version as well as Wind Waker characters. While little has changed in the gameplay those hoping to get their Legend of Zelda fix before the full launch of the Wii U game can experience both of these titles before then. Hyrule Warriors for the 3DS is set to release in the first quarter of 2016.
Metroid Prime Federation Force and Metroid Blast Ball

Mario and Luigi Paper Jam
Worlds are colliding in this latest adventure in the Super Mario RPG series. This time Paper Mario and Luigi are teaming up with Mario and Luigi from the Superstar Saga series for a brand new adventure. Using 2D and 3D elements to defeat enemies and overcome challenges. Mario and Luigi Paper Jam is set to release Spring of 2016.
Mario Tennis Ultra Smash
Coming holiday 2016 Mario Tennis Ultra Smash is the newest addition to the Mario sport series. This time new powers, as well as notorious Mario characters, will face off in wacky tennis matches. This includes the giant mushroom that grows the character into a large colossus and increase their power.
Opinion:
Not many surprises were at this year’s Nintendo digital event. A lot people already expected a lot of Amiibo support and Nintendo didn’t disappoint. Almost every game shown will have some sort of Amiibo support, and will a new wave on the way it’s hard to avoid purchasing these figurines for more than their alluring qualities. Perhaps we’ll soon all have more Amiibos than Nintendo games soon.
