E3 is almost here. New announcements for the biggest video game companies will be made there, and Nintendo will be showing their plans for the future. In anticipation we’ve decided to predict what their plans are, minus one crystal ball.

A Wii U Price Drop

Nintendo,E3,Wii U,

Despite having some of the most acclaimed current generation exclusive games like Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Mario Kart 8 and the recently released Splatoon the Wii U is still struggling to sell. While alluring customers with the promise of new titles and currently acclaimed games the best way to reach people is to appeal to their wallets. After all look at how many people decided to purchase an Xbox One after offering a Kinectless Xbox One console and a $50 price cut.

Animal Crossing Wii U

Animal Crossing,Wii U,Noobfeed,Nintendo,

It’s hard to doubt that Animal Crossing is one of the most popular titles on the Nintendo 3DS. Releasing a larger version of the game with improved HD graphics, online voice chat and the ability to create new communities with only players would greatly enhance the Wii U’s appeal.

More Super Smash Bros. DLC

Super Smash Bros.,Wii U,3DS,Nintendo,Noobfeed,

We already know Lucas is coming to Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS but no other characters have been announced. Nintendo fans can cast their ballots for which character they’d like to see next. With E3 on the horizon perhaps those same ballots will be accounted for and determine the next character.

New Mario Kart 8 DLC

Mario Kart 8,DLC,Nintendo,Noobfeed,

Nintendo has made a monumental support for the popular kart racing game, with DLC themed around other notorious titles like The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing. This trend is highly likely to continue with other properties being integrated into upcoming DLC, perhaps a Star Fox or Metroid themed pack.

More Amiibos Entering the Fray

Amiibo,Noobfeed,Nintendo,

Amiibos have been incredibly successful for Nintendo, crashing GameStop’s website and trouble keeping up with demand. While it isn’t popular with fans hoping to purchase their favorite Nintendo is going to release a new wave, and they’ll going to take advantage of E3. It wouldn’t be surprising if they decide to release a new set in conjunction with their upcoming titles or holiday themed Amiibos. Nintendo could be planning to release more Amiibo cards, which they introduced with Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer, which function just like Amiibos to balance the shortages.

Amiibo-Centric Games

Nintendo,Noobfeed,Amiibo,

As we mentioned Amiibo are extremely popular and profitable but the company has found a good reason to use them in games. While certain Amiibos unlock exclusive bonuses and demos a game that centers on their function is absent. We wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo released their own version of Skylanders to encourage players to purchase more of their figurines, especially the common ones. Knowing Nintendo it’ll probably be assortment of minigames, similar to WarioWare, where games are unlocked based on the Amiibo you use.
