Scott Pilgrim, Dragon Quest 9 and Young Thor. This will be a long blog!

I honestly don't even know where to begin. Over the past month or so I've basically been playing three games up until today when I can finally say I've completed each one (except Dragon Quest 9 of course I've got all kinds of awesome post game stuff to do :P )
Young Thor:
Alright so Young Thor is a Minis title available from the PSN Store and playable on the PS3 or PSP (obviously :P) I did all of my play through the PSP but I'm going to guess that the experience won't change either way. My full review is on my website but I'll post my main thoughts about the game here.
There's a lot of content here for a Minis title and honestly it's totally worth the asking price. I think the game presents itself in a way that may make you think that it's there for you to play in large chunks at a time but honestly I felt that it's totally not the case. The longer I played Young Thor the more bored I got but when I played in short quick bursts maybe completing a couple of the levels at a time it was a lot more enjoyable. There's a level up system in the game that is kinda cool but I really don't think it adds much to the experience other than making you a little stronger as the game progresses.
The combat isn't super deep but there's enough there to feel rewarding when you take down your enemies. The graphics are alright though I will admit I loved the artwork that was done for the cutscenes in the game. If you have a PSP or PS3 I'd definitely reccommend you at least try the game out seeing as it's only like five dollars.
Scott Pilgrim:
Much like Young Thor my review for Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game is up on my website but again I'll give you the main points about how I feel about the game. Scott Pilgrim is based of the graphic novels which inspired the movie that just released here last friday. It plays almost exactly like River City Ransom if you've played that before.
I actually really love the music and the graphics for the game. Heck the menu music is going through my head right now as I type this. There's some pretty big issues I have with the game though. It's scaled for four player coop so when you try going through the game single player you'll probably get your butt kicked quite a few times before you're able to clear the level. It's way too hard playing the game alone and quite honestly this makes the game not enjoyabe at all. Now I did get to play multiplayer a lot with my buddy and we were able to have a decently fun time but overall it just wasn't that fun of a game. I would reccommend it to fans of the books though as you'll find a lot of stuff in the game that is straight out of the books. If you only want to play single player though you need to find another game.
Dragon Quest IX:
I'll be writing up a full review here for Dragon Quest 9 in a few days when I have the time to do so. I absolutely loved it from beginning to end and I can't wait to jump into all the post game stuff that awaits me.
Other Stuff:
So not much else has been going on lately. I'm considering saving up some money and just getting a 120gb PS3 Slim so I can have a PS3 that plays discs again but I'm still unsure. I'm super super excited for Shank and Castle Crashers to hit psn in the next few weeks as well so You'll probably hear me talking about those games soon.
I hate to talk about my site too much here cause I just don't like feeling like I'm advertising but incase anyone wanted updates :P We're running our first contest of many that will probably be a monthly thing and you can win a free copy of Critter Crunch (though to be honest I think the code might only work in the US) I'm also hoping to start getting video content up as I'm looking at video capture equpment and such but don't worry I'll most definitely have those videos up here as well :P
