The annoyance of online point-click RPG games

Is is just me (maybe it is) that is annoyed by this... They label themselves as RPG but when played I could see no such thing as a role, there maybe quests but no real cinematics that would make me feel the beauty of an RPG, no wait... scratch that... I never see any cinematics...
It's just annoying because when we (me and my friends) would have a match, some of my friends would say wait, I'll just vend.. or wait, I'll just complete this quest.. and when not blackmailed by the common "We'll just start without you", it would take hours (I'm dead serious, hours) before we could get the game to start... and when the game is actuallt ongoing, I hate to be their team mate because I would find them just sitting there, idle... and when I take a peek at what they are doing, they are also playing an online game... and that's usually the time when I either shoot them (any FPS w/ friendly fire on) or obliterate their base, leaving no structure or unit standing (any RTS)... in when they return to the game, they would ask "Who did that".... and me replying "the enemy did it" w/ a huge smile on my face
I just don't get the reason why one would be addicted to this types of games.... unlike FPS games like CoD or Far Cry which gives us, gamers, adrenaline rushes and also help to sharpen the senses.. this could be helpful in real life... one situation is that from the instant I hear a single gun shot in CoD, I quickly head for cover... I found this helpful during my 100m dash event, I got a head start from my opponents because I was quicker in reacting to the sound of the gun shot fron the starting gun.... anyways... This types of games, unlike strategy games who sharpen the minds of gamers, don't help us at all... It does help us become lazy though, that's not really helpful though is it....
wait I just remembered, they do help our hands when it comes to the power of clicking (I know it makes no sense but nonsense)
I'm just ranting out how much I'm annoyed by this games and how they are so popular... I tried them but got bored wihtin a couple of hours, and days at most.... the only thing that got me attracted was the shiny and glowing stuff... (because you know "Ooh! Shiny!).
I'm sorry if I offended any gamers who like these type of games...
This is the complainer, Augustus, singing out
