Blizzard is poised to bring out a brand new survival video game, the company has announced.

The game – which is currently untitled – is set to take place in an entirely new universe, and it is hoped that it will sit nicely alongside the other sci-fi fantasy games.

This game will be available on both PC and mobile, and it is expected that it will excite gaming enthusiasts.

From what we have seen, the artwork looks spectacular. There are two main pieces, with one of them showing an axe-wielding ranger donning an animal skull-shaped helmet. The other piece of artwork, meanwhile, consists of a group of teenagers accidentally stumbling across a fantasy world, which contains a floating castle in the distance.

As of yet, it is unclear when a title will be assigned to the game, however, it seems that the project is well in the development stage.

Reacting to the news, Blizzard Entertainment head, Mike Ybarra, said: “I’ve played many hours of this project with the team and I’m incredibly excited about the team’s vision and the brand-new world it presents for players to immerse themselves in together.”

To a certain extent, this announcement by Blizzard was surprisingly low-key, although Microsoft confirmed it intends to take over Blizzard’s parent company Activision Blizzard in a deal worth $68.7billion.

Perhaps more interestingly, Blizzard’s release coincides with the release of an earnings report, which shows that consumers spent over a billion dollars on Call of Duty mobile in 2021. Blizzard, as mentioned, has been working on a new warcraft title, and previous titles, such as Diablo Immortal, proved to be a hit success. Also, Blizzard is the home of StarCraft, but it is unclear at this stage whether a new StarCraft title will be released. Nevertheless, StarCraft is a popular title in the eSports arena, and more people from around the world are tuning in via streams such as Twitch to catch the action. Esports has been gaining traction in terms of betting across the globe, and many of the best betting sites in Australia for example will carry odds for a wide range of eSports tournaments. At Bet365, you could find outright odds for certain competitions, as well as bet in-play, so you can see how your wager is doing in real-time.

Although the last StarCraft title came out in 2010, it still curries favor today, and its longevity pays testament to the quality of the game.

From the outset, the release of the new Blizzard has all the potential to be an instant success.

Of course, only time will tell as to what kind of reception it will receive when gamers get their hands on it.
