Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been, well, a knockout of a game, soaring to become one of the year's most successful games. Players have been enjoying the game, and it seems that the developers do not want their gameplay to get stale. During Gamescom, a virtual video game news event, Mediatonic revealed plans for Season 2 of Fall Guys.

Season 2 will bring with it a unique medieval theme, brand new maps and mini games, and even more player skins. Although this was all that was announced during Gamescom, co-host of Talk Guys Kate Stark held a special interview with the developers behind the masterpiece, divulging more information about the upcoming season.

According to a Tweet from Stark, Fall Guys Season 2 will include an anti-cheat top priority, custom servers, cross platform plans, accessibility changes and even official Fall Guys merch.

Including a free season pass is a huge step for Mediatonic, as the game's success would make it easy for the developer to charge $5-$10 for the battle pass, like many other battle royales. Because their game gained so much popularity during its free release on PlayStation Plus, it seems that the developers are leaning towards the side of free content, which adds more inclusivity to the game's community.

As for the other news that Stark shared, it is great to hear that the developers are beginning to crack down on cheaters in their game. Although Fall Guys is not taken as seriously as other online games, it still has its fair share of cheaters, looking to gain the upper hand on players. Mediatonic has said that they want their game to be 50% luck and 50% skill, leaving no room for cheaters.

In a sneak peek for the upcoming season, Fall Guys will be introducing medieval style skins, including knights, dragons, and even wizards. 5 new maps and challenges have been added to the rotation, some of them seeming to incorporate teamwork in this solo racing game. In the preview, players are seen moving blocks around the map so that they can access higher ground. However, this ability could easily lead to foul play from opponents, so be on the lookout during Season 2.

Fall Guys is promising a lot for its next season, set to launch in October. With the game's overwhelming success, it will likely continue to grow and offer new, free content for players for a while to come.
