Netflix and Capcom have announced a new Resident Evil show will be coming in 2021. Entitled Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, the animated series will follow protagonists Leon Kennedy and Clair Redfield as they battle a new terrifying danger. The show will focus on suspense to really hammer in the horror tone and feel. Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi has been assigned to lead the project in a producer role. Kobayashi had previously worked on several Resident Evil Games as well as animated films like Resident Evil: Degeneration and Resident Evil: Vendetta. Quebico will be the studio behind the actual animation.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is the second Resident Evil project Capcom is working on for Netflix. The previously announced live action series will follow two new members of the Wesker family, who are possibly the daughters of main villain Albert Wesker.
