Since its reveal, Ubisoft has kept the cooperative title Rainbow Six Extraction, revealed as Rainbow Six Quarantine, behind closed doors. Now the company has revealed the gameplay of the title and it's an RPG dungeon crawler. 18 Operators will be in the full game with new features added to Extraction.
The title will have players breaking into dangerous sub-zones and clearing out alien parasites using the same tactical gameplay as the core game. Called Archaeons players can use their lights to locate targets and clear each zone, with Archaeons each having tiers based on their strengths. As players dive deeper harder Archaeons will appear leading up to an encounter with an elite Archaeon.
The strange thing is that many expected this title to be an expansion of Rainbow Six Siege but according to Ubisoft it's a full game. Being priced at $60 which has not garnered a popular response.
Rainbow Six Extraction launches on September 22, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
