Atlus has released 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim patch 1.02 for all PlayStation 4 users. The update includes all of the features previously added to the Nintendo Switch version of the game. Each of the 13 pilots now has two additional weapons each. These are obtained by leveling up older weapons to at least +4 and further marked with red rectangles to show current progression. Enemies have also been made significantly harder, with heavily armored kaiju now blocking damage per hit rather than just the total. This can make some later bosses completely immune to previously powerful weapons like the Demolisher Blade and Sentry Guns. The patch also has general performance improvements, making battles run smoother.

The update was previously announced in May to be exclusive for Japan, with no further elaboration on if it would arrive in all other territories. In fact, neither Atlus nor Sony of made an official English announcement that the update has already gone live on PSN. This may be partially due to the other regional patches excluding some Japanese features, such as Juro Kurabe’s bedroom art gallery with premium art and mini games; some countries within Asia were still given this feature for free.
