Mega Man’s 25th anniversary 3DS case

Secure your 3DS in Mega Man's image

By Grayshadow, Posted 01 May 2013

Capcom has been releasing a large amount of content and commodities in honor of Mega Man’s 25th anniversary with statues, soundtracks, USB drives, and the promoted Mega Man vs. Street Fighter fan created game. Now 2 years later Capcom is creating a Mega Man themed case for the Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL.

The case displays the Blue Bomber in his original form on the NES. Capcom has been releasing the original Mega Man titles on the handheld Virtual Console, now up to 4, making the new style logical. Now only if Mega Man Legends 3 wasn’t cancel, yea I’m still upset about that.

The case will be on sale at Comic-Con, as well as at Capcom's online store.

  • @Amaya : Already saw it somewhere, not sure where though.. I think it was on FB. I'm still mad at Capcom for cancelling Legends 3 too :/ Thanks to that, Nintendo lost me as a 3DS owner lol, because yes.. I would of bought a 3DS be it solely for Legends 3. No Legends 3 = No 3DS.. unless Capcom somehow releases a follow up to Rockman Zero / ZX.

  • @FetusZero I've had this feeling that Capcom believes the crowed for Mega Man has dried down to a very small figure and investing in something that cost more than the sales figures would be pointless. This is just my thoughts. Thus souvenir such as this 3DS device is safer to invest.

  • @Amaya : It's kinda sad that they think so though.. especially knowing that the last titles, namely Megaman 9 and 10, sold like hot cakes and that Capcom was pleased with its sales, so I see no point in them killing off one of their biggest and longest living franchises. Although with Inafune gone, I'd be cautious of any game called "Megaman" released without him behind it at some point, even though he didn't do all that much anymore.
