Live Tournaments for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been on a bit of a hot topic and now it would seem that the most recent update for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Update 1.3.2 seems to be making some much needed tweaks to Game Freak's hit RPGs. This update comes a month after Update 1.3.1 which significantly improved many of the game's features in preparation of Live Tournaments.

To say that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has been quite an eventful release is an understatement. The game's first release back in November 2022, it was plagued by numerous glitches and bugs, with many long-time Pokémon fans even comparing it to the disastrous release of Cyberpunk 2077. The game has come a long way and seems to have redeemed itself, but the scars of the disastrous release still remain as Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is currently the lowest rated mainline Pokémon games of all time.

Although the game had a bit of a rough start, it was still heavily praised for moving to a more open-world game layout, this transition gave players a lot more freedom to explore the exciting world of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The game has also continually received updates and patches that have slowly been making the game better and better. The sixth major patch that the game has received, Update 1.3.2, continues to make improvements to the game, in particular what the official patch notes released by Nintendo call "mechanic adjustments"

These "mechanic adjustments" are most likely adjustments that are being made to the game in preparation for the launch of Live Tournaments. While the official patch notes don't list that as the primary reason for these adjustments, it is stated on the Serebii post that was shared on Twitter. Among these tweaks, adjustments have been made to the Illuminate ability, a move used for raising the encounter rate of wild Pokémon. The ability now seems to be able to prevent a Pokémon's accuracy from being lowered.

Considering that this update is most likely aimed at preparing for Live Tournaments competitions, it does mean that you are required to download the update if you want to utilize the game's multiplayer features. We will also probably be receiving a slew of other updates as the release date of the DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is right around the corner.
