PlayStation Minecraft fans rejoice! Sony has announced that Minecraft for the PS4 will be available on the PlayStation Store this Thursday before 12pm Pacific for $19.99 in the US. Those who own the PS3 Edition of Minecraft can choose to upgrade to the PS4 Edition for $4.99.
The PS4 Edition of Minecraft will feature 36 times larger worlds than the PS3 game and allow players to import saves from the PS3 Edition to the PS4 version.
It was at Gamescom 2013 that Sony revealed that Minecraft would be coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Mojang's popular creation was finally released on PlayStation 3 on December 17, 2013 and was intended to be a launch title for the PlayStation 4. Selling over one million copies on the PlayStation 3 in just one week, the game was an instant hit with PlayStation fans. Xbox One fans will have to wait till Friday to play Mojang's popular game.
