Nintendo has announced that Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars will be the first cross-buy game on the Nintendo eShop. This means purchasing the game on either the 3DS or Wii U eShop will grant the user access to the game on both consoles.
This features isn’t new as Sony implemented the same feature using their Sony Entertainment Network service, allowing PS Vita users and PlayStation home console gamers to cross-buy a wide selection of games.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars will include a level-editor, similar to the one found in Mario vs. Donkey 2: March of the Minis. Players can share content over the Miiverse and tip other players using Stars that are earned for completing stages.
Nintendo made the announcement during its Nintendo Direct presentation. Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars is set to release on both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS on March 5, 2015.
