Rockstar Games has announced plans to release multiple new games in the next two years, all the releases are instantly expected to be top-sellers by the gaming community according to reports from GameSpot and IGN. Take-Two Studios, Rockstar Games’ parent company has announced that the developers are ‘hard at work’ on multiple new titles, with rumours swirling that the announcements will be made at the upcoming E3 event. The estimations, due to an in-depth list of release plans for the upcoming fiscal year (1st July 2016 – 30th June 2017), are that the games will be released after this period, including the anticipated release of a new IP.
The release of a new IP would go a long way to developing the diversity and portfolio of Rockstar Games and could give the developer a massive financial and popularity boost. Despite the great benefit a new IP release would provide, it can be only rumoured at this stage as no details have been released, however the upcoming E3 has two possibilities for Rockstar, announce their upcoming games or further enhance the build-up of a potential prequel to the 2010 original Red Dead Redemption.
The excitement has to be at an all-time high to see what Rockstar Games has in store.
