According to Eurogamer a number of sources have confirmed that Nintendo's NX system is a portable console with detachable controllers.

According to these sources NX will is a "high-power handheld console with its own display". In addition the screen is bookended by two controller sctions on either side, which is detachable.

The console can also be connected to a larger screen if desired, by using a dock station.

The NX cartridges, that right I wrote cartridges, will feature the classic Gameboy format. Now this supports another story regarding The Legend of Zelda; Breath of the Wild trademark featuring cartridge-based games. This would be unusual seeing that all home consoles have abandoned the cartridge format but if the NX is a portable system than it would be prudent to have this system.

Eurogamer was told that backwards compatibility wouldn't be included, which is shocking seeing that most Nintendo systems included some sort of backwards compatibility including the Wii U, due to the systems technology and that it won't run simply on Android.

NX is will run on Nvidia's Tegra processor and plans for gear for the NX to release in September.

However like always we should take these rumors with a grain of salt, after all until Nintendo officially confirms anything this is all speculation. However we can expect some sort of information soon seeing that the system is slated for a March 2017 release.
