Looks like the legendary birds are in Pokémon Go

Yesterday a Pokémon Go player from Ohio claimed to have caught the Legendary bird Articuno through a special gift from Niantic labs. Now the developer has pulled the Pokémon from the player's account.

“We recently noticed that a few Legendary Pokemon got into a few accounts when they shouldn’t have. To preserve the game’s integrity and as a measure of fairness, we have rectified the situation and revoked the legendary Pokemon from the Trainers’ accounts,” Niantic told IGN.

Judging from the statement it seems that the stories regarding Articuno were true but quickly resolved. Seeing that the Legendary Birds, Mew, Mewtwo, and Ditto remain the only Pokémon yet to be seen giving them away would've resulted in a lot of unhappy players.

After recent updates Pokémon Go has taken a downward turn in popularity, this due to the removal of any sort of tracking system and the increased difficulty of catching Pokémon regardless of CP.

The only bright side to all this calamity is that Articuno is indeed in Pokémon Go, which means Moltres and Zapdos are as well. How to locate them, now that's a different story. Try your locate power plant.
