According to Eurogamer Wii U production will cease this Friday.
The publication stated that "multiple sources" have confirmed that the Japanese production line of Wii U will cease after this week. Launching back in November 2012 sales of Nintendo's system shifted back and forth, gaining momentum after the release of acclaim titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, and Pokken Tournament.
The Wii U has been behind the scenes with the NX, now confirmed as the Nintendo Switch, showed up. With the new system releasing in four months and a January 13th presentation scheduled
