The Nintendo Switch won't include an internet browser at launch in addition to Netflix.
According to an interview with TIME magazine Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima Nintendo is less focused on internet and extra features:
"Next, whether Nintendo eShop is fully supported and functioning for Switch at launch, we can confirm that it will be possible to purchase and play downloaded software at launch, but we are not sharing further details at this time. And in terms of the Internet browser, since all of our efforts have gone toward making Switch an amazing dedicated video game platform, it will not support it, at least at launch."
This confirms that these features will come at a later date, just not at launch. Since many of us have access to other devices that can stream Netflix's content and connect to the internet this won't be a major dealbreaker for many.
The Nintendo Switch launches on March 3rd for $299.99. Check out the final hardware specs here.
