Respawn Entertainment, the developers behind Titanfall, revealed they were working on a new Star Wars game with no details on what the game would focus on. Now they've confirmed a release window of 2020.
During an earnings call, EA confirmed that the unnamed Star Wars game would release sometime in 2020's fiscal year. This would put the game's release date between April 2019 and March 2020. This was all the information about the game and judging from the release window we won't be hearing much about the game. Considering that EA is putting considerable effort into BioWare's Anthem we should expect the company to continue to focus on releasing information for that project first.
Considering the massive backlash over Star Wars Battlefront 2 and the cancellation of Visceral's Star Wars game a lot of gamers are looking to Respawn to deliver a solid experience. Despite poor sales of Titanfall 2 due to its release so close to Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare along with the lack of marketing EA will have to ensure the same issues don't repeat themselves.
